Jeff Adair Kirkpatrick, Jr.

U.S. Veteran

Mr. Jeff Adair Kirkpatrick, age 77, of Cedartown, Ga., passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2011.

Mr. Kirkpatrick was born May 1, 1933 in Polk Co. to the late Jeff A. & Lila Kirkpatrick, Sr., he was additionally preceded in death by a brother, Fred Kirkpatrick, his sisters, Frances Waters, Margarite Clark and Barbara Kirkpatrick.

Mr. Kirkpatrick was a long time member of the New Harmony Baptist Church and served as a Deacon of the Church for 45 years. He also was a Mason and Past Master of Caledonia Lodge 121 F&AM & the William G. England Daylight Lodge 747 F&AM. He proudly served in the Georgia National Guard for over 21 years.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce B. Kirkpatrick, daughter & son in law, Becky & Ricky Cole, his brothers & sisters in law, Russell & Peggy Kirkpatrick, Clyde & Glenda Kirkpatrick, Paul & Sue Kirkpatrick, Don Kirkpatrick, Joe & Audrey Kirkpatrick, and Jack Kirkpatrick. his sisters, Dorothy Fincher and Martha Ann Varner, his sister in law, Martha Kirkpatrick, his brother in law, Lloyd Waters, his two grandchildren, Dana Cole and Daniel Cole. Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Jeff Kirkpatrick will be conducted on Tuesday, Fedruary 8, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Harmony Baptist Church with Dr. Dewayne New and Dr. Charles Drummond officating. Interment will follow in the North View Cemetery with Masonic rites conducted by the Caledonia Lodge 121 F&AM. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 7, 2011 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Randy Kirkpatrick, Todd Kirkpatrick, Jerry Kirkpatrick, Steve Kirkpatrick, Joey Kirkpatrick, Daryl Kirkpatrick and Josh Kirkpatrick. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of New Harmony Baptist Church.

The family has asked that In Lieu of Flowers, Donations can be made to the New Harmony Baptist Church Building Fund, Prior Station Road, Cedartown, GA 30125.
