Mrs. Betty Jo Bagwell, age 64, of Rome, GA, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012 following a brief illness. Mrs. Bagwell was born on March 4, 1948 to her parents, the late Robert E. Coxwell & Maybelle Garrett Coxwell. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy Bagwell; a brother, Robert Coxwell, Jr.; a sister, Peggy McElwee; her father in law, Horace Bagwell & a brother in law, Billy Shores. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband, Horace Kenneth Bagwell; two daughters, Tammy Hoover & Sherry Pope; a son, Eric Bagwell; her sisters, Patricia Rowell & Henrietta Gaylor; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jo Bagwell will be conducted on Monday, June 4, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. from the Chapel of the Good Shepard Funeral Home of Rome, GA, with Rev. Coleman Wood officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery of Rome. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 4, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the Good Shepard Funeral Home of Rome. Tim Pope, Bobby Bollinger, Russell Carter & Damon Moore will serve as Pallbearers.
